The prime minister is facing a stiff resistance within parliament as he tried to extend the state of emergency rules. The king extended the state of emergency for three months anyway. Pro-state-of-emergency politicians want new parliamentary elections right away, opponents do not. The war against the rebels appears to have slowed down because of the infighting in parliament.
