Police stopped a 12 year old Palestinian boy trying to pass through a West Bank checkpoint carrying a bomb in his book bag. A  border guard became suspicious at the weight of the book bag. The boy apparently did not know that it was a bomb in his book bag. He had been asked to deliver a package to someone inside Israel. Such smuggling is more common than suicide bombing. However, Palestinian media constantly encourages children to grow up and die bravely in support of the goal of destroying Israel. Border security controls are so tight that it is very difficult to get adult male Arab suicide bombers through, so women and children are being used more often.
