The U.S. Department of Defense, under pressure from Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, is shifting $90 billion, over the next five years, to "transformational" projects. This means dropping older weapons and investing in new stuff. This means more space satellites, laser weapons, electronics in general and smart weapons.
